I didn’t build this firm because it was easy. I built it because I lived the struggle. The long nights. The financial stress. The endless knocking on closed doors. BondEsq was born not from opportunity—but from *necessity, grit, and empathy*.

My Turning Point

In 2014, everything changed. My mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, and I made the decision to support her the only way I could—financially. For 11 years, I watched her memory, mobility, and independence fade. I wasn’t her carer, but I made sure she had medication, support, and the dignity she deserved—thanks to the beautiful care home staff. When I finally accepted that her condition had taken full hold, I returned to university to complete my ACCA. That wasn’t an easy choice—but it’s what she would have wanted for me.

What Drove Me

Even after graduating, doors didn’t open. I sent out hundreds of CVs. I knocked on doors. I volunteered for neighbours just to feel useful again. Eventually, I was offered a dishwasher job at a local restaurant—and I took it with pride. Within weeks, I was managing stock, prepping food, and then—bookkeeping. That single chance reignited everything. And it’s why I understand what it means to be *overlooked but capable*. I didn’t start BondEsq to be another firm. I started it to be *the firm that sees the people behind the business*.
